This week-long academy is aimed at composers and performers and explores the creative potential of tuning systems in contemporary music. Led by guest composer Wolfgang von Schweinitz and members of the Musikfabrik, the programme examines topics such as just intonation, HEJI notation, acoustics and practical notation strategies, amongst others. Through lectures, hands-on workshops and public rehearsals, theory and artistic practice are interwoven. The programme culminates in a closing concert featuring Schweinitz’s *Plainsound Forest Song*, during which participants can experience first-hand the journey of a work from conception through rehearsal to performance.
