With an installation of solo concerts students of the Department for Applied Theater Science Gießen show that Contemporary Music can be very sensual. The scenic installation has the titel:

North, South, East, West. All that we have to do is to know any one of these directions. Then, from that one, we can find out the rest. – A night for Sabelwyn

What that means exactly you can find out during a guided tour around the sound stations in small groups …

You can listen to pieces by Luciano Berio, Liza Lim, Mauricio Kagel, Alban Wesly, Luigi Nono, Volker Staub, Frederic Rzewski, Iannis Xenakis, Morton Feldman, Helmut Lachenmann and Rebecca Saunders.

The Schlüsselwerke-Festival is taking place during the concerts of “Schlüsselwerke der Neuen Musik“ by ON – Neue Musik Köln. ON – Neue Musik Köln is supported by Netzwerk Neue Musik, a  funding porject by Kulturstiftung des Bundes, Stadt Köln and RheinEnergieStiftung Kultur.
