Cologne, Studio des Ensemble Musikfabrik
Lukas Pairon was co-founder and director of the Belgian Ictus Ensemble for 20 years. Today, he is the founding director of the international scientific association SIMM (Social Impacts of Music-Making), which brings together scholars researching the role of music in social and community projects.
From 15-17 April, SIMM is organising a research seminar in London, in collaboration with the Guildhall School and the Jonet Chair, on the role of composers in participatory music projects. Pairon will present the results of this first research seminar and exchange ideas with those present about possible similar initiatives that could be carried out together in this field.
