Ensemble Musikfabrik Appoints Thomas Fichter as Director
Former President of the German Bundestag Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert Accepts Role as Patron

The Ensemble Musikfabrik has selected Thomas Fichter as its new Director. Fichter, a well-known arts manager and former musician, returns after 14 years to the position he held from 2001 to 2004. Under his leadership Musikfabrik reached several important milestones, including establishing its residence in Cologne and installing its own concert series „Musikfabrik in WDR”.

Additionally, former president of the German Bundestag, Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert, has accepted the position of Patron (“Schirmherr”) for the Ensemble Musikfabrik after having served on its board (“Kuratorium”) since 2005.
